Are you keeping your child smaller than (s)he is? Are you keeping yourself smaller than you are? Who is/was keeping you smaller than you are? Who keeps/kept grandpa/grandma smaller than (s)he is? Who keeps/kept the teacher smaller than (s)he is? Who keeps/kept your boss smaller than (s)he is?

Just like a plant, every child needs their own unique space to grow and develop into who they are. Besides having needs that match their environment, they also have needs that make them unique. To give them this space, trust is needed—in life, and above all, in the child.

Giving trust is a challenge if you yourself have never received it. Without an example of trust, you still need to find the trust within yourself to be able to give it to your child. By trusting your child, (s)he learns that (s)he is valuable and gradually learns to trust him-/herself. Your child needs this trust to keep getting back on his/her feet throughout life, even when you are long gone.

“Giving trust is a challenge if you yourself have never received it. Without an example of trust, you still need to find the trust within yourself to be able to give it to your child.”

Through the unconditional trust and love of your parents, you experience the calm and space you need to discover who you are, what you want, and what you can. This way, step by step, you come to realise that you can trust yourself.

“Through the unconditional trust and love of your parents, you experience the calm and space you need to discover who you are, what you want, and what you can.”

That you are worth it. In a world where children are separated from their parents at increasingly younger ages, it is not obvious for above-average children and youngsters to develop that self-confidence. No matter how loving your own parents are, if you spend long days away from them from a very young age in an environment that does not understand you, there is no space to learn to trust because you feel like you have to survive.

Trias Vita supports above-average children, youngsters, and adults who get stuck at school or work because they have not experienced enough trust to explore who they are, what they want, and what they can. With #MirrorTheatre we will look together for who you are, what you can and what you want, quite a challenge if you are above average to discover in a standardised world that has insufficient eye for your needs. With #EcosystemicDevelopment you develop connected to yourself, others, and the natural environment. With #One-On-OneCoaching, Trias Vita offers you first aid for acute developmental questions. With #ConnectedDevelopment you as a parent discover how you can support your child so that he gets the space to discover who he is, what he can, what he wants and thus develop in a connected way.

If you, as a (grand)parent, find it difficult to guide your (grand)child in this, that is not surprising. As a (grand)parent you are often above average in one way or another too. As a result, in the industrialised standardised society in which you also grew up, you may not have been able to fully discover who you are, what you want and what you can yourself. Therefore, you may lack the necessary knowledge, skills, and/or experience to help your (grand)child develop connected. However, it is never too late for you to start developing yourself in a connected way. #MirrorTheatre also offers you the space for this.
