If your child is given the space to discover who he is, how he feels and why, where his talents lie, what he can already do and still wants to develop, your child can walk his path (Tao) in balance (Yin & Yang) and without force (Wu wei). If your child receives your unconditional motherly and fatherly love, he experiences that he is allowed to discover, feel, know, understand, and push boundaries on his path (Tao) in balance (Yin & Yang) and without force (Wu wei). In doing so, he learns to understand who he is, what and why he feels, how he can change his reality by making certain choices, and how he relates to his environment. He learns to love himself as he is and, through the unconditional love of his parents, to love others. Step by step, he builds a healthy self-image. On his foundation, built in trust in his parents’ love for him, he builds a loving self-image, in which he learns to live from love and with respect for the otherness of others. That is what he learned from his parents: to be allowed to be unconditionally simply because he is. By living together with his family, brothers, and sisters, he learns that he is allowed to be.
In today’s world, it is no longer a given to grow up largely among those who resemble you most. If you are very different from many others, discovering who you are is not always easy. It is not always simple to feel what you feel and to learn to understand why. In that case, your talents are not always noticed by others, but neither are they noticed by yourself, because they are not mirrored. Then you face an extra challenge, because how do you discover what you still want to develop? How do you discover your path (Tao)?
A healthy self-image is essential for lifelong health, for healthy social relationships, for making healthy choices, and for bouncing back when life does not go as you might have hoped. A healthy self-image is the key to your path. Without that key, you run a greater risk of walking a path in life that is not your own, resulting in many disappointments. For (exceptionally) gifted children and youngsters, it is not always a given that they are given the space in society to develop a healthy self-image. In such cases, it can be helpful to receive extra support with this.
- Trias Vita coaches (exceptionally) gifted children and youngsters from an ecosystemic Taoist perspective to help them develop a healthy self-image. You can find more info about this here;
- In the fall of 2026, Trias Vita will also start an (online) course on how to support a child’s development without punishing or rewarding them. You can find more info about this here;
- At the end of August 2026, Trias Vita will start new ‘Natural Oasis’ groups. Children aged 3 to 5 will discover, through play, who they are in relation to themselves and others.
If you are interested in coaching, the (online) course, or ‘Natural Oasis’, email Trias Vita.
